ERLUS roofing materials – the perfection of fired earth
The first clay roof tile was fired around 2,500 years ago. And just like the roof tiles of old, our Ergoldsbacher roof tiles are made of the natural raw materials loam and clay. The essential difference from what it used to be is that today’s roof tile is a technical building product that has to meet a wide range of standards and requirements. So our Ergoldsbacher roof tiles are manufactured using a complex procedure. With high-tech production methods, and the experience and expertise of our staff in the field of ceramics. In addition to that, high-quality ceramics take time. It takes around 30 days for an Ergoldsbacher roof tile to be completely finished: from the extraction of the ceramic raw materials to firing the tiles to packing them on pallets.
ERLUS roofing materials have a superb reputation: prime quality in a functional, stylish design. Ergoldsbacher roof tiles have a particularly high level of dimensional accuracy and shape stability, which makes them easy to lay. ERLUS technicians greatly appreciate this. ERLUS also keep your practical requirements in sight when developing a new model or optimising existing tiles.
Ten international design awards confirm the high bar which ERLUS sets for the perfect quality, function and shape of its roof tile models.

SCALA
The Ergoldsbacher Scala® will surprise you with its generous sliding range of 70 mm, which particularly pays when retiling the roof or extending existing tiling with new tiles. The variable covering length is not only practical and economical – laid in an overlapped or fully slotted manner, the modern sliding tile also makes exceptional tiling designs possible. Regarding its form, it is perfectly equipped to prevent drifting snow or rain getting in, and to withstand wind suction: due to the double interlocking side joint and watercourse in the four-tile corner, a double foot joint and two head joint ribs.

ERGOLDSBACHER GROßFALZZIEGEL XXL
The Ergoldsbacher Großfalzziegel XXL® is the modern interpretation of the traditional interlocking tile, for which it received the iF DESIGN AWARD. However, its technical details are also outstanding: Interlocking joints on all sides, two swirling chambers in the head section, the construction in the joint sliding range and the laying compatibility in cross bond pattern or in rows make the tile particularly raintight. A fully ceramic ridge ventilation construction without ridge connection tile or other system parts also contributes to reducing construction costs.

E 58 PLUS®
This elegant large-surface tile sets standards: The Ergoldsbacher E58 PLUS® is the first flat roof tile in Europe to achieve hail resistance class 5. This robust tile is also particularly raintight, as its size results in fewer joints on the roof surface. It is also cost-effective, easy to lay (sliding range up to 30 mm) and therefore especially well-suited for large-surface renovation projects.

LINEA®
The Ergoldsbacher Linea® is recognisable by its simple design and the smooth appearance of the roof. Together with the attractive ERLUS accessories, it is the perfect tile for modern architecture. Its properties are also impressive: due to the sintering process at around 1.200 °C it achieves clinker quality. That means that it is specially protected against breakage and aggressive environmental influences.
