ERLUS
Roof ceramics – the excellence of fired clay
The first clay roof tiles were made around 2,500 years ago. Today's tiles are still made by ERLUS from loam and clay — only the production process is far more complex. An ERLUS tile is a natural product that takes time: from sourcing the ceramic mass, through firing the tiles, to packing them onto pallets takes around 30 days. Tiles must also meet high demands — they must protect the roof from rain and wind, be stable, and meet numerous standards. ERLUS meets all these criteria with high-tech production methods and the extensive experience of its staff.
Ergoldsbacher tiles win people over with their excellence. ERLUS guarantees consistently high quality and a functional, stylistically refined shape. Their tiles have an exceptionally stable form that allows for easy installation.
The ERLUS brand is an expression of the high quality standards the company sets for itself: the raised 'e' in the logo represents 'outstanding excellence.' This is confirmed by the numerous design awards their tiles have received — ten so far.

SCALA
The new Ergoldsbacher Scala® tile surprises with an adjustment range of 70 millimetres: the large batten-spacing range particularly pays off for renovations and covering additional surfaces. By laying this beautifully shaped tile offset or aligned, the roof surface can be designed very individually. The technical features of this modern adjustable tile are equally invaluable: a double side interlock, a water-diverting notch at the overlap corner, a double notch at the bottom, and two ribs at the top protect against snow, rain ingress, and wind. The Scala® tile is available in four colours — two of which come in a sintered finish.

LARGE INTERLOCKING TILE XXL
The Ergoldsbacher Large Interlocking Tile XXL is a contemporary take on the traditional interlocking tile, for which it received the iF design award. Its technical features are even more convincing: thanks to a ring-shaped interlock, two swirl chambers at the top, the design in the interlock area, and the option to lay it in bundles or rows, this tile provides especially good protection against rain. Fully ceramic ridge ventilation, without a ridge connector tile or other system parts, also helps reduce construction costs.

E 58 PLUS®
A beautifully designed, large-format tile that sets the standard — the first clay roof tile in Europe, the Ergoldsbacher E 58 PLUS® achieves hail resistance class 5. This robust tile also protects exceptionally well against rain, since its format means fewer joints on the roof surface. It allows for economical and easy installation (adjustment range up to 30 mm), making it especially suitable for renovation projects.

LINEA®
The timelessly designed Ergoldsbacher Linea® tile is excellent for contemporary architecture. The smooth, purist shape of the tile creates a visually calm surface. Together with matching accessories, an ERLUS roof looks highly aesthetic. An adjustment range of 20 mm ensures flexible coverage — for both new builds and renovated buildings. The tile is manufactured using a sintering process at 1,200°C, achieving a very robust, clinker-like finish.

A variable batten range of 33.5 to 36.5 cm allows for optimal adaptation to existing roofs. The Ergoldsbacher Reformpfanne SL tile can also visually accentuate new builds, especially contemporary structures without roof overhangs.

The Ergoldsbacher Reformpfanne XXL® tile is a classic tile with straight edges and balanced proportions, making it suitable for both traditional building styles and contemporary architecture. PLAIN TILE
The Ergoldsbacher plain tile is often used on heritage-protected buildings, but this historic tile can also create an interesting contrast on contemporary single-family homes.
